How To Qualify

Teams can qualify for the 2008 PrimeTime Sports Cup Championship Tournament in three different ways:

  • Qualifier Tournaments PrimeTime Sports will host qualifying tournaments throughout the year, which are identified on the Cup Qualifier Tournament Calendar page. In a Cup Qualifier, the top three finishing teams in each division automatically qualify for the Cup Championship

  • Qualifier Points (Q Points). Each Cup Qualifier tournament offers Cup Championship qualifying by Q Points. A team is awarded Q Points based upon placing at each Cup Qualifier tournament and the number of games won:
    • 1st Place = 10 points & automatic qualification
    • 2nd Place = 9 points & automatic qualification
    • 3rd Place = 8 points & automatic qualification
    • Consolation Champion = 7 points & automatic qualification
    • 4th Place = 5 points
    • 5th Place = 4 points
    • 6th Place = 3 points
    • 7th Place = 2 points
    • 8th Place = 1 points
  • AN ADDITIONAL POINT IS AWARDED FOR EACH WIN
  • At-Large Invitations. While most teams will enter the 2008 PrimeTime Sports Cup Championship tournament though our qualification process, we will extend a few At-Large Invitations to deserving teams. The At-Large Invitations are intended to maintain the competitive level of the tournament and expand the geographic diversity. If you would like any of your teams to be considered for an At-Large Invitation, please complete the Request for Cup Championship At-Large Invitation.
