League Rules
Texas Girls Premier League rules follow USSF rules for all divisions with a few exceptions included below.
Length of Games:
- Under 9 (9v9): 30 Minute Halves (No overtime except for playoff week)
- Under 9-10 (11v11): 30 Minute Halves (No overtime except for playoff week)
Ball Size:
- Under 9-10 (11v11): 30 Minute Halves (No overtime except for playoff week)
- Under 8-12-Size 4
- 9v9 games-approximately 50yds by 85yds
- 11v11 games-full size field
- May vary depending on event location

Goal Size:
- 9v9 games-7’tall x 21’wide
- 11v11 games-8’tall x 24’wide
- May vary depending on event location
Guest Players:- 11v11 games-8’tall x 24’wide
- May vary depending on event location
- 3 guest players for 9v9 and below
- 5 guest players for 11v11
- US Club Soccer Guest Player forms are required and must be presented to the PrimeTime Sports site director prior to game time.
Substitution Rule- 5 guest players for 11v11

- Substitutions at own throw-in, goal kicks, and after goal scored
- Teams play first 7 games with scores and standings kept by the following point system:
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss, Forfeit scored as 3-0 win.
- Playoff games in Week 8. 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8, 9v10 ect...- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss, Forfeit scored as 3-0 win.
- Playoff games ending in a tie have one sudden death 10 minute overtime (5 minute halves) followed by penalty kicks.
- Tie breakers for playoff games determined in the following order:
1. Head to Head
2. Goal Differential (Max 5 goals per game)
3. Goals scored (Max 5 goals per game)
4. Least Goals Against (Max 5 goals per game)
5. Coin Toss
Other Rules:
- Offside rule in effect
- No players may play up or down an age group - All other rules and procedures follow USSF, including throw-ins, direct and indirect free kicks, penalty kicks, etc.
Home vs Away and Jersey- No players may play up or down an age group - All other rules and procedures follow USSF, including throw-ins, direct and indirect free kicks, penalty kicks, etc.
In bracket play, the top team listed will be the home team. In pool and round robin play, the team listed first will be the home team. In case of uniform conflicts, the home team will wear their white or lighter colored jerseys. At most complexes, both teams and their coaches will sit on one side of the field and ALL spectators will sit on the other side. If the facility is set-up with teams on opposite sides of the field, teams and their spectators will sit on opposite sides.
Players are required to have like-colored jerseys/t-shirts with permanent numbers (ironed-on or permanent marker) at least 4 inches tall on the back of their jersey/t-shirt that match the numbers listed on the team roster. TAPED NUMBERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED – No exceptions. Scrimmage vests without numbers may worn only over a permanently numbered jersey/t-shirt.
